Livagen

Updated May 29, 2026

Primary Benefits

  • Supports liver cell health and cellular resilience
  • Supports healthy detoxification and metabolic processing pathways
  • Helps regulate gene-expression activity related to cellular repair
  • Supports immune and inflammatory balance through liver and lymphocyte research
  • Commonly used for liver support, healthy aging, and cellular regeneration research

Mechanism of Action

Livagen is a tetrapeptide bioregulator with the sequence Lys-Glu-Asp-Ala (KEDA). It is commonly described as the liver-focused member of the Khavinson bioregulator family. Published studies have examined Livagen’s effects on chromatin structure, especially deheterochromatinization or decondensation of tightly packed chromatin in lymphocytes from older individuals. This mechanism is proposed to reactivate age-suppressed gene expression and support protein synthesis, cellular repair, and resilience. Additional research discusses hepatoprotective, immunoprotective, and anti-aging effects of liver polypeptide complexes and KEDA in liver pathology and aging models.

Dosing & Protocol

Subcutaneous (SQ) Injection (preferred)

Reconstitution:

-20 mg vial → 2.0 ml bacteriostatic water

Daily Dose:

-1–2 mg (10–20 units)

Cycle:

-Daily for 10–20 days; repeat 1–3 times yearly as needed or as directed by your healthcare provider

Timing:

-Morning most common

Potential Side Effects

  • Injection-site redness, tenderness, itching, or mild swelling
  • Headache, fatigue, lightheadedness, or mild nausea
  • Temporary digestive changes such as bloating, appetite shifts, or stool changes
  • Changes in energy, sleep, or mood in sensitive individuals
  • Rare: allergic reaction, jaundice, dark urine, severe abdominal pain, or concerning liver-related symptoms; seek medical care

If side effects occur, users commonly reduce dose or discontinue use and consult a healthcare professional.

Common Stacks

  • With L-Glutathione: For antioxidant and liver detoxification support
  • With NAD+: For cellular energy and healthy-aging protocols
  • With KPV: For gut-liver inflammatory balance and barrier-support research
  • With Pancragen: For combined liver, pancreas, and metabolic bioregulator protocols

Notes

  • Injection is subcutaneous into the lower abdomen or another standard SQ site (such as the outer thigh or upper buttock).
  • Livagen research is concentrated in bioregulator and gerontology literature, with limited Western regulatory evaluation.
  • Individuals with active liver disease, abnormal liver enzymes, hepatitis, cirrhosis, or heavy alcohol use should consult a healthcare professional before use.
  • Lyophilized (dry) Livagen vials should be stored in the freezer.
  • After reconstitution, store in the refrigerator and use within 45 days unless the product label or protocol says otherwise.
  • When using liver-support protocols, baseline and follow-up liver markers can help clarify response.
