How the math works: Vial total mass (mg) divided by volume of bac water (mL) = concentration (mg/mL). Dose in mcg divided by (mg/mL times 1000) = mL per injection. Standard insulin syringes are U-100 calibrated, so 1 "unit" = 0.01 mL on every size — a 30u or 50u syringe simply holds less (0.3 mL or 0.5 mL) than a 100u syringe (1 mL).
