About KPV

KPV (Lys-Pro-Val) is the C-terminal tripeptide sequence of alpha-melanocyte-stimulating hormone (alpha-MSH), a naturally occurring immunomodulatory peptide. KPV is studied for inflammatory signaling, intestinal barrier integrity, antimicrobial activity, and barrier-tissue support in gut and skin research models. In published models, KPV is transported into epithelial and immune cells through PepT1 and has been associated with lower NF-kB/MAPK inflammatory signaling and downstream cytokine activity.
