LL-37
Updated April 28, 2026
Primary Benefits:
- Broad-spectrum antimicrobial activity (bacteria, viruses, fungi)
- Enhances innate immunity and modulates inflammation
- Promotes tissue regeneration and wound healing
- Disrupts biofilm formation and supports gut microbiome balance
- May aid in chronic infections and autoimmune conditions
Mechanism of Action:
LL-37 is a naturally occurring antimicrobial peptide (AMP) derived from the human cathelicidin hCAP-18. It plays a critical role in the innate immune system, directly disrupting pathogen membranes while also modulating immune responses. LL-37 influences cytokine release, chemotaxis, and wound repair processes. It is being studied for its applications in chronic infections, inflammatory conditions, and tissue regeneration.
Dosing & Protocol
Subcutaneous (SQ) Injection or Topical Application (for wound healing):
- Reconstitution:
– 5 mg vial → 3.0 ml bacteriostatic water - Daily Dose:
– 166 mcg (10 units) - Cycle:
– Daily or Twice a week
– 6 weeks - Timing:
Based on personal preference; no strict time requirement
Potential Side Effects:
- Temporary redness or irritation at the injection site
- Mild flu-like symptoms during early use (immune stimulation)
- Rare allergic reactions or hypersensitivity
- Avoid use in individuals with autoimmune flares unless supervised
Common Stacks:
- With BPC-157: For enhanced tissue repair and immune modulation
- With Thymosin Alpha-1: For immune resilience and antiviral defense
- With probiotics or prebiotics: To support microbiome balance when used for gut infections
Notes:
LL-37 is often used in cycles for targeted immune support or infection recovery. It may be applied topically for wound healing or injected for systemic effects. Use caution in autoimmune conditions—consult a healthcare provider. Store reconstituted peptide in the refrigerator and use within 45 days unless the product label or protocol says otherwise.
